We offer a tailored and comprehensive snagging inspection for your new build home. With the need to produce new build homes to meet government targets and supply/demand chain, developers are producing homes faster than ever.


Unfortunately, during this process quality standards can fall below the required standards, leaving new homeowners to with various defects within their properties.

Upon completion of our inspection, we will produce your report highlighting all defects. The inspection report will be completed and issued to you within 48hrs in a PDF format.



Our detailed snagging reports will allow you to raise the defects with the developer to ensure they’re corrected, giving you the peace of mind, your home is defect free and completed to the highest quality standard.

When To Inspect

Your inspection should be carried out upon obtaining keys to your new property.

As you settle into your new property, new defects can present. There is no limit to the number of lists which can be submitted in the first two years to the builder who is liable for these remedial works. The original list can be updated and submitted accordingly.

 

We offer a re-inspection service available at any time, following on from your initial inspection, this will check that all works have been caried out. This service is available at an extra cost. Please see our prices for details.

What is checked during the inspection

Your inspection report will highlight issue which have been identified through a visual inspection. Your inspector will check the interior and the exterior of your home, including the garden, driveway and garage.

Warranty

A building warranty is set in place for 10 years, its works as an insurance policy for new homeowners as a level of protection against latent defects which may arise. Warranty providers such as NHBC provide structural cover in year 3 through to 10

 

It is important to note, the developer is responsible to repair all defects identified within your home, in the first 2 years. Therefore, it is essential to raise any defects within your home to the developer within the first two years.
