What Is Snagging
Snagging is a detailed check of your newly built home or apartment which will assist in identifying defects in the build once it has been completed. It is recommended to identify defects as soon as possible. Snags can be classified as functional and cosmetic, as detailed below:
Cosmetic Snags
Can be deemed as damaged paintwork to walls, small areas of uneven paintwork throughout the property.
Once defects have been identified, a detailed list is compiled with photographic evidence, this is known as a snag list. Once the list is generated it is then issued to the developer to rectify the snag items highlighted.
Functional Snags
Issues with operational defects, an item which is not working accordingly, for example a light switch of plug socket that is not operating.
